My father, Salvatore "Mac"Macinante, was always very interested in image technoligies.
In his early days the newest technology was silent movie films. Equipped with a 9.5 mm camera (the European 9.5mm standard was created before the Kodak 8mm standard) he made visual recordings of his descendants, nieces, nephews and others.
Later in his life he adopted a technology which
replaced movie film it was a video tape system referred to as "VHS".
Equipped with a VHS camera and a VHS recorder as well as continuing
to make visual recordings he copied his movie films to VHS. He gave
me and others a compilation.
Dad's work can now be viewed by the current generation on their modern devices,
His family compilation is now on the Macinante Web Site.
Enjoy!
Mick
